V-visa for spouses and children of green card holders

The V visa also allows children and spouses of green card holders to enter the USA. The holder of the V visa is authorized to live in the USA until an immigrant visa can be applied for. The intention to apply for an immigrant visa is a mandatory requirement for the granting of the temporary V visa.

The V visa can be issued with a validity of up to 10 years, allowing a stay of up to 2 years. For children under the age of 21, the V visa is regularly issued until their 21st birthday.

Holders of a V visa can also apply for a work permit from the relevant immigration/citizenship authority after entering the USA.

Applying for a V visa is often a complicated process, which is why we recommend consulting a lawyer. We will be happy to advise you individually on the subject of V visas, answer your existing questions comprehensively and initiate the necessary steps for you.
